Purpose and conversion mandate
- The Satellite Office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) located in the Municipality of Initao, Province of Misamis Oriental is converted into a regular LTO district office (Section 1).
- The converted office is known as the LTO District Office of Initao, Misamis Oriental (Section 1).
Funding rules and appropriation scheme
- The Secretary of Transportation must immediately include in the Department’s program the operationalization of the regular LTO district office in Initao, Misamis Oriental (Section 2).
- The initial funding for operationalization must be charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Initao LTO Satellite Office (Section 2).
- After the initial funding, such sums as may be necessary for continued operation must be included in the annual General Appropriations Act (Section 2).
Implementation by implementing rules
- The Secretary of Transportation must promulgate the rules and regulations necessary for effective implementation within ninety (90) days from the effectivity of the Act (Section 3).
Legal basis, legislative status, and effect
- The Act takes effect based on the publication rule of Section 4.
- The Act’s approval mechanism includes the constitutional rule that it lapsed into law without the President’s signature under Article VI, Section 27 (1) of the Constitution.
