Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records
- All personnel currently assigned to the Joaquin Smith Annex are transferred to the newly established Joaquin Smith National High School.
- All assets related to the Joaquin Smith Annex are also transferred and absorbed by the new national high school.
- Any liabilities and official records of the annex shall be transferred to and assumed by the Joaquin Smith National High School, ensuring continuity and proper administration.
Appropriations and Funding
- The Secretary of Education is mandated to immediately include the operationalization of Joaquin Smith National High School in the Department of Education's program.
- Initial funding for the independent school's operation will be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Joaquin Smith Annex.
- Future funding requirements for the continued operation of the new school are to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act (GAA), ensuring sustainable financial support.
Implementation Rules and Regulations
- The Secretary of Education is empowered to issue necessary rules and regulations to effectively implement the provisions of this Act.
- These rules are intended to facilitate the smooth transition and proper administration of the Joaquin Smith National High School.
Effectivity of the Act
- The law shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
- This provision ensures public awareness and legal enforceability following the lapse of the fifteen-day period.
