Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records
- All personnel currently working at the Don Bosco Extension are transferred to the newly independent Don Bosco National High School.
- All assets belonging to the extension are likewise transferred to the new school.
- Any liabilities or obligations of the Don Bosco Extension are absorbed by the new independent school.
- All official records are also transferred to Don Bosco National High School.
Funding and Operationalization
- The Secretary of Education is mandated to immediately include Don Bosco National High School in the Department of Education’s operational programs.
- Initial funding for the operationalization will be charged against the current year’s appropriation of the former extension.
- Future funding necessary for continued operation shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Rulemaking and Implementation
- The Secretary of Education is required to formulate rules and regulations implementing the provisions of the Act.
- This must be accomplished within 120 days from the approval date of the Act.
Effectivity
- The Act becomes effective 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
Legislative and Executive Approval
- The Bill originated in the House of Representatives and was approved by the House on August 9, 2017.
- The Senate approved the Bill on December 11, 2017.
- The Act was signed into law by the President of the Philippines on March 6, 2018.
