Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records
- All personnel currently assigned to the Oton National High School–Cambitu Extension are transferred to the new Cambitu National High School.
- All assets and liabilities associated with the extension are likewise transferred and absorbed by Cambitu National High School.
- Records maintained by the extension shall be turned over to and held by the new independent school.
Appropriations and Funding
- The Department of Education Secretary is mandated to include the operationalization of Cambitu National High School in the Department’s programs forthwith.
- Initial funding for the operation of Cambitu National High School shall be drawn from the current year’s existing appropriation allocated to Oton National High School–Cambitu Extension.
- Future funding required for the continued operation of Cambitu National High School will be incorporated into the annual General Appropriations Act.
Implementation of the Act
- The Secretary of Education is tasked to promulgate necessary rules and regulations to ensure the proper enforcement and implementation of this Act.
- These implementing rules and regulations aim to facilitate the smooth transition and operationalization of the new independent school.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its official publication in the Official Gazette.
- This provides for a legal commencement date when the provisions of the law become enforceable.
Legislative Approval and Promulgation
- The law was passed by the House of Representatives on June 6, 2011, and by the Senate on July 24, 2012.
- It was approved by the President of the Philippines on October 18, 2012.
- The procedural formalities and signatures of key government officials validate the enactment of the law.
