Separation and creation of an independent school
- Section 1 separates the Bislig City National High School – San Jose Annex located in Barangay San Jose, City of Bislig, Province of Surigao del Sur from the Bislig City National High School.
- Section 1 converts the separated annex into an independent national high school.
- The new independent national high school is known as San Jose National High School under Section 1.
Transfer and absorption of school resources
- Section 2 transfers and absorbs all personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Bislig City National High School – San Jose Annex.
- The transferred personnel, assets, liabilities, and records are absorbed by San Jose National High School under Section 2.
- The transfer is treated as complete for purposes of personnel, assets, liabilities, and records under Section 2.
School funding and appropriation mechanics
- Section 3 requires the Secretary of Education to immediately include the operationalization of San Jose National High School in the Department’s program.
- The initial funding of the new school is charged against the current year's appropriations of the Bislig City National High School – San Jose Annex under Section 3.
- Section 3 directs that thereafter, the amount necessary for continued operation of San Jose National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Implementing rules and regulations
- Section 4 mandates that the Secretary of Education shall issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of Republic Act No. 9984.
- The rules and regulations issued under Section 4 govern implementation of the Act’s separation, conversion, and operationalization of the school.
