Role of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports
- The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is mandated to facilitate and implement the conversion of the school.
- The Ministry must undertake all necessary steps for the effective operation and administration of the Sigma National High School.
- Immediate implementation of the provisions of this Act is required.
Budgetary Provisions and Financial Support
- An initial amount of one hundred thousand pesos (₱100,000) shall be allocated for the operation of the Sigma National High School.
- Funding shall be sourced from appropriations authorized under Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 earmarked for new national high schools.
- An additional amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the school’s prior share of budgetary aid received before conversion shall be released from the national assistance fund for local schools.
- Subsequent financial needs for operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act to ensure continuous funding.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval.
- The approval date recorded is June 10, 1983.
