Transfer of personnel, assets, and records
- Section 2 transfers and absorbs all personnel of the annex to the General Licerio Topacio National High School.
- Section 2 transfers and absorbs the annex’s assets to the General Licerio Topacio National High School.
- Section 2 transfers and absorbs the annex’s liabilities to the General Licerio Topacio National High School.
- Section 2 transfers and absorbs the annex’s records to the General Licerio Topacio National High School.
Department of Education operationalization and funding
- Section 3 directs the Secretary of Education to immediately include the operationalization of the General Licerio Topacio National High School in the Department’s program.
- Section 3 provides that the initial funding shall be charged against the current year’s appropriation of the General Emilio Aguinaldo National High School Annex.
- Section 3 requires that thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Implementing rules and regulations
- Section 4 requires the Secretary of Education to issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of the Act.
Effectivity and publication
- Section 5 establishes that the Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
- Section 5 makes publication a condition precedent to effectivity and fixes the counting period at 15 days after publication.
Issuance details and passage
- The Act is Republic Act No. 10726 titled “An Act Separating the General Emilio Aguinaldo National High School Annex in Barangay Pasong Buaya II, Imus City, Province of Cavite from the General Emilio Aguinaldo National High School, Converting it into an Independent National High School to be Known as General Licerio Topacio National High School and Appropriating Funds Therefor.”
- The Act is approved on December 29, 2015.
- The Act states that it was passed by the House of Representatives on May 19, 2014 and by the Senate on October 6, 2015.
