Conversion of Barotac Nuevo HS to Fisheries School

Section 1 converts the Barotac Nuevo High School in the Municipality of Barotac Nuevo, Province of Iloilo into a National Fishery School.
Section 1 names the converted school “Central Iloilo National School of Fisheries.”
Section 1 provides that the school shall have a Principal as its administrative officer.
Section 1 states that the Principal operates under the direct superintendence of the Superintendent of the nearest regional agricultural school.

Section 2 empowers the Secretary of Education to reorganize the courses of instruction in the converted school.
Section 2 requires course organization to gear fully the natural resources of the region served by the school toward the economic development of the country.
Section 2 requires consistency with secondary vocational instruction.
Section 2 mandates emphasis on fishery in the instructional program.

Section 3 appropriates PHP 300,000 for the conversion of the school as provided for in the Act.
Section 3 appropriates PHP 300,000 for operation and maintenance, purchase of site, and providing an adequate and suitable site for fish culture.
Section 3 appropriates PHP 300,000 for necessary equipment and buildings.
Section 3 requires that thereafter, the necessary amount for the operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Act.
