Funding and Financial Provisions
- An initial amount of One Hundred Thousand Pesos (₱100,000) is allocated for the operation of the newly converted national high school.
- This initial funding will come from the appropriations authorized under Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, which is designated for new national high schools.
- Additionally, the school will be provided a supplementary amount equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of its share in budgetary aid that it actually received prior to its conversion.
- The supplementary funds will be released from the national assistance fund allocated to local schools.
- After the initial funds, the school’s operational and maintenance expenses shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act, ensuring continuous funding from the national government.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval, making the conversion and funding provisions legally binding from that date.
Key Legal Implications
- The conversion signifies a change in the administrative and funding status of the school from a barangay-level institution to a national educational institution.
- Funding shifts from being locally supported to being directly funded and maintained by the national government.
- The law ensures the continuity and enhancement of educational services through structured financial support.
Scope
- This law specifically applies to the Anislag Barangay High School in Daraga, Albay.
- It does not extend to other schools or cover additional educational reforms beyond this specific conversion and funding.
