  • The Office is divided into fifteen (15) divisions, with flexibility for the Solicitor General to reassign personnel among divisions.
  • Appointment of Assistant Solicitors General and Solicitors is by the President upon the Solicitor General’s recommendation.
  • Trial Attorneys and administrative personnel are appointed directly by the Solicitor General.

Succession and Acting Appointments

  • In cases of absence or temporary incapacity, the President designates an Acting Solicitor General.
  • For death, permanent incapacity, removal, resignation, or vacancy, the President appoints an Acting Solicitor General or a new Solicitor General.
  • The Acting Solicitor General serves until the appointment of a new Solicitor General.

Continuity of Current Incumbents

  • All current officeholders shall continue their functions without requiring new appointments.

Appropriations and Funding

  • Funds necessary for the operations of the OSG shall be sourced from its existing appropriations under the current General Appropriations Act.

Repeal and Modification of Inconsistent Laws

  • All laws, orders, issuances, rules, and regulations, or parts thereof inconsistent with this Executive Order, are repealed or modified accordingly.

Effectivity

  • This Executive Order takes effect immediately upon issuance, ensuring immediate organization and operational autonomy of the OSG.
