Joint Assessment and Certification of Competence

  • The CSC and NCC through NCI will jointly assess the competence of individuals currently holding EDP positions.
  • Those found qualified will be certified for the grant of civil service eligibility.

Training Courses and Certification of Proficiency

  • CSC and NCC shall prescribe training courses for EDP specialists.
  • Certification of proficiency obtained from these training courses will serve as the basis for conferring civil service eligibility.
  • The conferment of eligibility under this decree is limited to five years from its effectivity date.

Rulemaking and Implementation

  • CSC and NCC are responsible for promulgating and implementing the necessary rules and regulations to operationalize this decree.

Effectivity

  • The decree is effective immediately upon signing.
