Proper Attachment Requirements
- The new MV standard license plates must be attached using LTO-issued bolts or self-tapping screws (referred to as Plate Locks).
- Use of any bolts or screws other than those provided by the LTO is considered improper attachment.
Penal Provisions
- Improper attachment of license plates using unauthorized bolts or screws is punishable.
- Offenders are subject to apprehension by LTO Law Enforcers.
- A penalty fee of Php 5,000.00 will be imposed under II(e) of Joint Administrative Order (JAO) No. 2014-01 dated June 2, 2015.
