Specifications for Encoding Engine and Chassis Numbers

  • Only alphanumeric characters are permitted: letters A to Z and digits 0 to 9.
  • Prohibits the use of any special characters such as asterisks (*), dashes (-), spaces ( ), or other symbols.
  • Encoding must exclude any form of punctuation or spacing.

Practical Examples of Proper Encoding

  • Engine number example: "4K-12345" should be inputted as "4K12345" (dash removed).
  • Chassis number example: "PMSS-12345-C" should be inputted as "PMSS12345C" (dash and spaces removed).

Effect on Prior Orders and Memos

  • All previously issued orders or memoranda conflicting with this circular are hereby superseded.

Effective Date and Authority
