  • A licensed Engineer must have at least five (5) years experience in land development and/or infrastructure development.
  • A licensed Engineer must also have at least six (6) months training in Engineering Geology/Structural Geology or a post graduate diploma in Engineering Geology/Structural Geology.

Compliance monitoring responsibility and EGGAR

  • Monitoring compliance with the recommendations in the Engineering Geological and Geohazard Assessment Report (EGGAR) is the responsibility of the concerned Local Government Unit (LGU).
  • Monitoring compliance with the recommendations in the Engineering Geological and Geohazard Assessment Report (EGGAR) is also the responsibility of the EGGAR preparer.
  • The obligation to ensure monitoring coverage is tied to the EGGAR and its recommendations.

Implementing guidelines for assessment

  • EMB shall prepare guidelines for implementation.
  • EMB must prepare these guidelines in consultation with MGB.
  • The purpose of the guidelines is to operationalize the Engineering Geological and Geohazard Assessment requirement in relation to ECC applications for covered projects.
