City Officials

City Mayor

City Vice Mayor

- Assumes mayor’s office upon vacancy and exercises mayoral powers during temporary absence.
Sangguniang Panlungsod (City Council)
- Composed of the vice mayor, 12 regular members elected by districts, and sectoral representatives.
- Duties include enacting ordinances, maintaining peace and order, protecting environment, determining salaries, and regulating local businesses.
- Has power to approve budgets, levy taxes and fees, grant franchises, and regulate land use.
Legislative Process
