Registration and Examination
- No individual may practice chemistry without a valid Board-issued certificate unless exempt.
- Exemptions include foreign chemists consulting temporarily and distinguished foreign experts not engaging in private practice.
- Applicants must be Filipino citizens, at least 21 years old with good moral character.
- Educational qualifications include a recognized Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent with practical experience.

Certification and Fees

Applicability to Firms and Corporations
- Only registered chemists may practice chemistry within firms, partnerships, corporations, or associations.
- Managers or administrators bear personal liability for violations within such entities.
Limitation Regarding Other Regulated Professions
- Practitioners legally licensed in other regulated professions are not subject to this Act when performing related services.
Reciprocity and Effectivity
- Foreign chemists must come from countries granting reciprocal practice rights to Filipino chemists to qualify for registration.
- Conflicting laws or regulations are repealed.
