School Director

  • Treasurer is also appointed by the director with Board approval; subject to government auditing.

Faculty and Staff Selection and Compensation

  • Faculty selection based on Board-established criteria including screening and competitive exams.

Transfer of Assets and Responsibilities

  • All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the original San Rafael National High School are transferred to and absorbed by the new Science High School.

Funding and Appropriations

  • Initial funding charged against current year's appropriations of the original high school.
  • Future funding to be included in the General Appropriations Act.

Effectivity

  • The Act takes effect upon approval.
  • It lapsed into law on June 6, 1997, following constitutional provisions for lapsed legislation.
