Core conversion mandate
- Section 1 converts the Calabanga National High School in the Municipality of Calabanga, Province of Camarines Sur into a national science high school.
- The converted school must be known as Calabanga National Science High School (Section 1).
Transfer and absorption of school resources
- Section 2 transfers to and absorbs by the Calabanga National Science High School all personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Calabanga National High School.
- Section 2 establishes that the transferred school components become part of the converted institution (Section 2).
Department of Education operationalization and funding
- Section 3 directs the Secretary of Education to immediately include the operationalization of the Calabanga National Science High School in the Department’s program.
- The Act provides that the initial funding of the school shall be charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Calabanga National High School (Section 3).
- The Act requires that thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school must be included in the annual General Appropriations Act (Section 3).
Implementation rules by the Secretary of Education
- Section 4 requires the Secretary of Education to issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of Republic Act No. 10238.
Authority and concluding provisions
- Section 5 provides the publication rule and fifteen (15)-day post-publication effectivity requirement in the Official Gazette.
- The Act’s conversion, transfer of resources, funding instructions, and implementation authority are the operative mechanisms governing the establishment and functioning of Calabanga National Science High School (Sections 1–4).
