Territorial Boundaries of Each Barangay

  • Defined boundaries for each new barangay as follows:
    1. Barangay Pasong Putik Proper
      • North: Border with Caloocan City and Quezon City boundary
      • East: Belfast Street, Caloocan City and Quezon City boundary
      • West: Kaligayahan/New Haven and Teresa Heights boundary
      • South: Quirino Highway, Mindanao Avenue
    2. Barangay Greater Lagro
      • North: Quirino Highway
      • East: MWSS Reservoir
      • West: Belfast Street, Mindanao Avenue, Barangay Sta. Monica and Barangay Pasong Putik boundary
      • South: Creek, D.B.T. Marbay/Lagro Subdivision boundary
    3. Barangay North Fairview
      • North: Creek, D.B.T. Marbay/Lagro Subdivision boundary
      • East: Lagro Subdivision, Tullahan Creek
      • West: Barangay Sta. Monica and North Fairview Subdivision boundary
      • South: Barangay Fairview and Tullahan Creek

Plebiscite Ratification and Compliance

  • The plebiscite conducted under Quezon City Ordinance No. 439, series of 1996:
    • Supervised by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC)
    • Ratified the creation of the three barangays
    • Proclaimed by the Plebiscite Board of Canvassers on December 8, 1996
  • This plebiscite serves as substantial compliance with the plebiscite requirement under Section 10 of Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code), as amended

Continuity of Incumbent Barangay Officials

  • Current barangay officials of the three newly created barangays:
    • Shall continue their tenure until successors are duly elected and qualified

Ownership and Administration of Public Infrastructure

  • All existing public infrastructure and facilities for public use:
    • Shall remain owned and administered by the respective newly created barangays

National Tax Allotment (NTA) Shares

  • Each of the three barangays:
    • Entitled to receive National Tax Allotment shares
    • Distribution pursuant to Section 285 of Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code), as amended

Repealing Clause

  • All laws, decrees, executive orders, rules and regulations that are contrary or inconsistent with this Act:
    • Are repealed or amended accordingly

Effectivity of the Act

  • The Act shall take effect 15 days after its publication:
    • In the Official Gazette or
    • In a newspaper of general circulation

Approval and Enactment

  • Passed by the House of Representatives on September 14, 2021
  • Amended and concurred in by the Senate on January 31, 2022 and February 2, 2022 respectively
  • Lapsed into law without the President's signature on June 2, 2022, pursuant to the Constitution Article VI, Section 27(1)
