Territorial Boundaries
- Barangay La Medalla is bounded by Barangay Flores (North), Barangay Binodegahan (Northeast), Barangay Caratagan (Southeast), Barangay Banawan (Southwest), Barangay Marigondon (West), and Barangay Panganiran (Northwest).
- Detailed boundary descriptions include specific line bearings and distances between designated points (BBM coordinates).
Conduct and Supervision of Plebiscite
- The plebiscite supervised by the Commission on Election (COMELEC) under Provincial Ordinance No. 09-93 (dated July 1, 1991) and approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (August 9, 1993) is recognized.
- This plebiscite ratified the creation of Barangay La Medalla as proclaimed by the Provincial Board of Canvassers on November 21, 1993.
- The result of this plebiscite serves as substantial compliance with the plebiscite requirement under Section 10 of Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991), as amended.
Incumbent Barangay Officials
- The existing barangay officials continue to hold office until their successors are duly elected and qualified.
Public Infrastructure and Facilities
- All public infrastructure and facilities existing within the new barangay at the time of the Act’s approval are transferred without cost or compensation.
- These facilities shall be administered by Barangay La Medalla.
Internal Revenue Allotment Shares
- Barangay La Medalla is entitled to Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) shares.
- This entitlement is pursuant to Section 285 of the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
