Policy and declared national intent
- The State recognizes tourism as a driver of economic growth and development and must pursue policies that cultivate, strengthen, and promote the heritage of tourism destinations.
- The State must underscore and feature the historical significance and origins of world-renowned tourism destinations.
Designation of Baler as birthplace
- Section 2 declares that the Municipality of Baler in the Province of Aurora is the “Birthplace of Philippine Surfing.”
- The declaration is made in recognition of Baler’s status as one of the premiere surfing sites in the country.
- The declaration is made for earning a significant spot in the history and origin of Philippine surfing.
Repeal and modification of inconsistent laws
- Section 3 repeals, amends, or modifies all laws, acts, presidential decrees, executive orders, presidential proclamations, issuances, rules and regulations, or parts thereof that are contrary to or inconsistent with Republic Act No. 11957.
