Classification and Import Duty Rates on Agricultural and Sports Equipment

  • Application of Section 104 of Republic Act No. 1937 to specific machinery and equipment.
  • Three categories with distinct import duty rates:
    • Category A: General harvesting and threshing machinery, hay mowers, cleaning machines for seeds/grain, egg-grading machines (excluding bread grain milling industry equipment). Duty rate: 10% Ad valorem.
    • Category B: Lawn mowers (non-agricultural use). Duty rate: 50% Ad valorem.
    • Category C: Golf course equipment including greenmowers, gangmowers, sod cutters, top dressers, aerifying machines, other specialized golf course maintenance equipment, sharpening tools, accessories, and spare parts. Duty rate: 20% Ad valorem.

Immediate Effectivity

  • The executive order takes effect immediately upon issuance.

Price Regulation and Tariff Revocation Clause

  • Provision that any unwarranted increase in local product prices, benefited by these tariff changes, can justify revocation of the adjusted tariff rates.
