Objective of the Order

  • The primary goal is to provide tariff assistance to the agriculture and fisheries sector to enhance their efficiency and global competitiveness.

Scope of Modified Import Duties

  • Specific imported articles listed in Annex "A" of the Order will be subject to the newly prescribed import duty rates.
  • These articles are classified under Section 104 of the Tariff and Customs Code of 1978, as amended.

Continuity of Other Tariff Provisions

  • Tariff headings and articles not enumerated in the annex, as well as those listed but marked with "x x x," shall retain their existing import duty rates.

Effective Implementation

  • The new import duty rates apply to the articles upon their entry and withdrawal from warehouses in the Philippines when the Order takes effect.

Supersession of Conflicting Provisions

  • All prior presidential issuances, administrative rules, or regulations inconsistent with this Executive Order are revoked or modified accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The Order shall become effective immediately after its complete publication in two newspapers of general circulation in the Philippines.
