Purpose of the Semi-Postal Stamps
- The additional amount collected from the semi-postal stamps is intended to raise funds specifically for:
- The construction of war memorials.
- The benefit of war widows.
- Support for orphans and disabled veterans from the recent World War.
Handling of Additional Funds
- The extra sums obtained from the sale of semi-postal stamps are to be deposited with the National Treasurer or authorized deputies.
- Fund disbursements are to be made in favor of the special funds designated for the purposes for which the stamps were issued.
- The administration of these funds will adhere strictly to standard accounting and auditing regulations.
Effectivity
- The law takes effect immediately upon its approval on June 2, 1947.
