Duties and Abolition of the Chief Clerk Position
- The Assistant Provincial Treasurer assumes duties previously performed by the chief clerk and deputy of the provincial treasurer.
- Additional duties may be assigned by the provincial treasurer.
- The position of chief clerk is abolished, preventing its recreation except through legislation.
Automatic Conversion of Existing Chief Clerks
- Current chief clerks in provincial treasurers' offices automatically become Assistant Provincial Treasurers upon enactment.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval.
