Declaration of Armed Forces of the Filipino People Week
- The last full week of August is declared as Armed Forces of the Filipino People Week.
- This declaration recognizes the important role and contributions of both past and present Filipino military officers and personnel.
Lead Implementing Agency
- The Department of National Defense (DND) is designated as the lead agency.
- The DND is tasked to urge all citizens to observe and recognize the Armed Forces of the Filipino People Week.
- The DND shall organize and conduct programs and activities to commemorate this week.
Implementing Rules and Regulations
- The DND is mandated to promulgate the necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of the Act.
- These rules and regulations shall be issued within sixty (60) days from the approval of the Act.
Effectivity Clause
- The Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication.
- Publication is to be made either in the Official Gazette or in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
Legislative Process and Approval
- The Act was passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on September 10, 2014, and May 4, 2015, respectively.
- It was approved by the President of the Philippines on July 3, 2015.
- Official signatories include key legislative officers and the President, indicating formal enactment of the law.
