Implementation and Regulation
- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is mandated to issue the necessary rules and regulations to effectively implement the apportionment provided by the law.
Repealing Provisions
- All existing laws, rules, and regulations that are inconsistent with this Act are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly to ensure conformity with the new apportionment.
Effectivity Clause
- The Act becomes effective fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least two newspapers of general circulation.
Legislative Process and Approval
- The Act was originated in the House of Representatives.
- It was finally passed by the House of Representatives on November 14, 2006, and by the Senate on February 7, 2007.
- The law was approved by the President of the Philippines on February 22, 2007.
