Role and Authority of the Department of Justice
- The Department of Justice (DOJ) is tasked with enforcing the Rice Share Tenancy Act.
- DOJ may issue necessary orders related to the liquidation of crops, their division, and the apportionment of expenses between landlord and tenant.
- DOJ’s involvement aims to regulate the landlord-tenant relationship and ensure fair treatment in tenancy agreements.
Dispute Resolution and Appeal Process
- If either the landowner or tenant is aggrieved by the DOJ's actions or if disputes arise regarding their relationship, either party may appeal.
- Jurisdiction to resolve such disputes is granted to the Court of Industrial Relations.
- The Court shall determine the controversy in accordance with the law, providing a legal avenue for enforcement and settlement of claims.
Effective Date of the Act
- The revised provisions are effective immediately upon the approval of the Act, dated August 22, 1940.
