Appointment and Compensation of Assistant City Attorneys
- Each chartered city, where the provincial fiscal serves as city attorney ex officio, may have up to three assistant city attorneys.
- The number of assistant city attorneys is determined by the President of the Philippines based on the volume of legal business in the city.
- Assistant city attorneys are appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments of the National Assembly.
- The compensation scale for assistant city attorneys is as follows:
- First assistant city attorney: three thousand pesos per annum
- Second assistant city attorney: two thousand eight hundred pesos per annum
- Third assistant city attorney: two thousand four hundred pesos per annum
Effective Date of the Act
- The Act takes effect immediately upon its approval.
- It was approved on September 14, 1938.
