Allowance and Financial Assistance
- Provincial boards may grant one or two permanent monthly allowances.
- Each allowance shall not exceed forty pesos per month.
- The allowance aims to enable the student to follow a professional course.
Additional Entitlements for Selected Students
- Selected students are entitled to reimbursement of actual and necessary travel and subsistence expenses once each school year.
- This covers travel from the student’s residence to their place of study and back.
- Reimbursement also includes matriculation and graduation fees, if applicable.
- Costs of required books for each course are reimbursable.
Medical Benefits
- Students receiving assistance are entitled to be admitted and treated free of charge at the Philippine General Hospital in cases of illness.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect immediately upon its approval.
