Succession Upon Death of Certificate Holder
- If the holder of a certificate dies before the Government executes a deed to any purchaser, the holder's interest descends to heirs.
- The deed shall be issued to the lawful heirs as determined by Philippine laws on succession.
- Such issuance is conditional upon proof that all requirements of the certificate have been fulfilled.
Rights of Purchasers Before Compliance
- If the certificate holder sold his interest before fulfilling all certificate conditions, the purchaser acquires the same rights as the original holder.
- The purchaser must present the assignment to the Chief of the Bureau of Public Lands for registration to validate these rights.
Effectivity of the Amendment
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval on February 16, 1921.
