Duties in Estate Administration
- The Attorney-General or a designated delegate must take possession of the decedent’s estate.
- A complete inventory of the estate must be prepared and filed with the Insular Auditor.
Identification of Heirs and Estate Settlement
- The Attorney-General is tasked with ascertaining the lawful heirs’ names and residences using all available means.
- The estate must be settled and assets disposed of according to the rights of the lawful heirs.
Fees and Financial Accounting
- The Attorney-General may charge fees deemed just for administering the estate.
- Collected fees are to be paid into the Insular Treasury.
Legal Effectivity
- The provisions of this Act take effect immediately upon approval, dated December 21, 1921.
