Plebiscite Requirement and Procedure
- The renaming is contingent upon the ratification by a majority of qualified voters in the affected barangay.
- A plebiscite will be conducted and supervised by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in Barangay San Isidro.
- This is in accordance with Section 13(g) of Republic Act No. 7160, as amended, known as the Local Government Code of 1991.
- The expenses related to the conduct of this plebiscite shall be charged to the Municipality of Lupon, Province of Davao Oriental.
Effectivity of the Law
- The Act shall take effect 15 days following its publication.
- Publication must be in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

- The Act originated in the House of Representatives and was passed by both legislative chambers on March 17, 2021 (House) and December 16, 2021 (Senate).
