Municipal Elections and Transition of Officials
- New municipal elections for the consolidated municipalities of Surigao, Cabarbaran, Cortes, La Paz, Bislig, and Lianga shall follow the rules of Act No. 730 as amended by Act No. 928.
- The present municipal organizations in the consolidated areas shall be abolished upon the qualification and assumption of office by the newly elected officials.
- All offices under the previous municipal structures become vacant and abolished once the new officials take office.
- Current municipal officials continue to hold office until the new officials qualify and assume their roles.
Legislative Expediency and Effectivity
- The enactment of this law is expedited citing public good and the procedural rules established under the Philippine Commission's law-making procedures.
- The law takes effect immediately upon its passage on October 22, 1903, enabling swift implementation of the consolidation and reorganization measures outlined herein.
