Financial Responsibilities for Court Buildings

  • Expenses for repair, alteration, custody, purchase of equipment, supplies, books, and stationery in provincial courts are borne by the provincial treasuries.
  • In Manila, such expenses are paid from the city treasury.
  • No expenses shall be incurred without prior approval from the provincial board or the municipal board of Manila.
  • Estimates for repairs and equipment in the provinces are to be prepared by the governors or sheriffs; in Manila, by the city sheriff.
  • Clerks of courts prepare estimates for necessary stationery and books for court and clerk use.

Appointment and Regulation of Court Personnel

  • Stenographers, typewriters, interpreters, and translators necessary for the Supreme Court and Courts of First Instance must be appointed.
