Territorial Boundaries and Reconstitution
- The municipality of BiAan shall consist of the territory it held before the enactment of Act No. 939.
- San Pedro Tunasan, as a reconstituted municipality, will also comprise its prior territorial extent.
- This reconstitution restores the municipalities to their former geographical jurisdictions.
Municipal Elections and Assumption of Office
- Municipal elections for San Pedro Tunasan will be held in the next regular municipal elections for Laguna Province.
- Elections will follow the rules set forth in Act No. 730, as amended by Act No. 928.
- Elected officers of San Pedro Tunasan shall not assume office, and the municipality shall not officially exist, until the first Monday of January following the elections.
- These changes do not affect the total number of municipal officers to be elected in other municipalities or the regular conduct of elections.
- The number of councilors to be elected is to be determined according to Act No. 1433.
Expediency and Effectivity
- The enactment of this law is declared to be of public necessity, justifying an expedited legislative process in accordance with existing procedural rules (Section 2 of the Act of September 26, 1900).
- The Act shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
