Special Provisions on Salary Reductions and Retirement Benefits
- Officers whose salaries are reduced but have retired under Act No. 2589 retain their former salary as of December 31, 1916
- Vacancies created by such retirements are to be filled according to the salaries fixed in this Act
Temporary Contracting of Technical Personnel
- Governor-General or Department Secretaries can contract technical personnel at higher salaries for limited periods if necessary
- These salaries must be approved in advance by appropriation Acts
Repealed Provisions and Effectivity
- Certain sections of the Administrative Code and inconsistent Acts are repealed
- Act effective January 1, 1917, except members of Legislature and Department Secretaries/Under Secretaries effective upon election or appointment
- Department Secretaries jointly may postpone salary reductions affecting Bureau and Office positions until December 31, 1918, if required for service interests
- Such postponements must be gradual and distribute salary reductions over time
Director of Coast Survey
- Paid daily rate of ₱10 per diem rather than annual salary
