Application of Administrative Code provisions
- Section 2 applies the provisions of Sections 2137, 2138, 2139, 2140, 2141, 2142, and 2143 of the Administrative Code, as amended to the Subprovince of Samal.
- Section 2 makes those Administrative Code provisions the governing framework for the Subprovince of Samal in the areas covered by those sections.
Office and compensation of lieutenant-governor
- Section 3 provides that the lieutenant-governor of the Subprovince of Samal shall receive compensation of six thousand pesos per annum.
Plebiscite condition for effectiveness
- Section 4 makes the creation of the Subprovince of Samal effective only if a majority of the qualified voters of the proposed subprovince votes in favor of its creation.
- Section 4 requires the plebiscite to be held simultaneously with the election in November, nineteen hundred sixty-nine.
- Section 4 places the plebiscite under the supervision of the Commission on Elections.
Effectivity and transitory rule
- Section 5 states that the Act takes effect upon its approval.
- The Act was enacted without Executive approval, August 4, 1969.
