An additional Municipal Trial Court and fifteen Regional Trial Court branches are established in Antipolo City, Rizal, to enhance judicial capacity in the Fourth Judicial Region, as mandated by Republic Act No. 10568.

Assignment of Court Branch Numbers

  • The Supreme Court is responsible for assigning branch numbers to these newly created courts.

Implementation and Funding

  • The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, together with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, must immediately include the execution of this Act in the Judiciary's program.
  • Funding for the operation of these new courts is included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
  • Funds will be appropriated and released only when the courts are actually organized and the necessary personnel appointed.

Amendments and Repeal of Inconsistent Provisions

  • Sections 14(e) and 29 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 (The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980), as amended, and all other provisions that are inconsistent with this Act, are repealed, modified, or further amended accordingly.

Effectivity

  • This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or in two newspapers of general circulation.

  • The law is a consolidation of Senate Bill No. 3043 and House Bill No. 6855.
  • It was passed by the Senate on September 17, 2012, and by the House of Representatives on February 6, 2013.
  • The Act was signed into law by the President of the Philippines on May 22, 2013.
