Supreme Court assignment of branch numbers
- Section 2 directs the Supreme Court to assign the respective branch numbers for the newly created branches.
Implementation in Court program and funding
- Section 3 requires the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, to immediately include the implementation of the Act in the Court’s program.
- Section 3 mandates that the funding for implementation be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
- Section 3 provides that funds for the operation of the newly created courts shall be appropriated and released only upon the actual organization of the Courts and the appointment of its personnel.
Amendments and repeal of inconsistent provisions
- Section 4 repeals, modifies, and/or further amends Sections 14(e) and 29 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129, otherwise known as the Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980, as amended.
- Section 4 further provides that other provisions that may be inconsistent with the Act are deemed repealed, modified, and/or further amended.
Effectivity and publication requirement
- Section 5 provides that the Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
- The Act is approved May 22, 2013, and is enacted as Republic Act No. 10568.
