Implementation and Funding
- The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of Justice, must incorporate the creation of the new RTC branch into the Supreme Court's program.
- Funding requirements, including initial creation and continuous operational funds, must be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
- Funds will only be appropriated and released once the court is formally organized and the necessary personnel are appointed.
Amendment to Judiciary Reorganization Act
- Amends Section 14, paragraph (j) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 (The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980), as amended, to reflect the creation of the additional RTC branch.
- All laws, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are amended, repealed, or modified accordingly.
Effectivity of the Law
- The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication.
- Publication must be in the Official Gazette or in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation in the Philippines.
Legislative and Executive Approvals
- The Act was passed by the Senate as Senate Bill No. 1840 and adopted by the House of Representatives as an amendment to House Bill No. 8919.
- Signed into law by the President of the Philippines.
- Contains official signatures of the key government officials involved in the legislative process.
