Transfer of Assets, Liabilities, and Personnel Rights

  • All assets (both immovable and movable) and records from the Roxas National Comprehensive High School Annex at Barangay Abaroan are transferred to the newly established Abaroan National High School.
  • Liabilities or obligations previously held by the Annex are also transferred to the new national high school.
  • The rights, security of tenure, and positions of both academic and nonacademic personnel who opt to remain at the new school shall remain unimpaired, ensuring their job security and continuity.

Appropriation of Funds

  • Necessary funding to implement the provisions of this Act must be allocated in the General Appropriations Act starting the year after the law’s enactment and in the succeeding years thereafter.

  • The Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) is tasked with issuing the necessary rules and regulations to effectively implement the provisions of this Act.

Effectivity of the Act

  • The law lapsed into effect on November 27, 1997, without the signature of the President, pursuant to Article VI, Section 27(1) of the 1987 Constitution.
