Issuing authority and implementing rules
- Section 2 mandates that the Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of the Act.
- Section 2 requires the Department to implement the Act through appropriate regulations covering its conversion and operations.
Academic and training offerings
- Section 3 requires the Raja Soliman Science and Technology High School to offer secondary courses.
- Section 3 requires the school to offer vocational and technological courses.
- Section 3 requires the school to run a skills training program.
Transfer and absorption of personnel, records, assets
- Section 4 transfers and absorbs all personnel of the Raja Soliman High School into the Raja Soliman Science and Technology High School.
- Section 4 transfers and absorbs all records of the Raja Soliman High School to the Raja Soliman Science and Technology High School.
- Section 4 transfers and absorbs all assets of the Raja Soliman High School to the Raja Soliman Science and Technology High School.
- Section 4 transfers and absorbs all liabilities of the Raja Soliman High School to the Raja Soliman Science and Technology High School.
Funding and appropriations
- Section 5 provides that the amount necessary for the initial implementation of the Act shall be charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Raja Soliman High School.
- Section 5 requires that, thereafter, sums necessary for the continuous operation and maintenance of the Raja Soliman Science and Technology High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Effectivity
- Section 6 states that the Act takes effect upon its approval.
- August 22, 2000 is the approval date triggering the Act’s effectivity.
