Conversion of Ormoc City High School to Arts and Trade School

Section 2 directs the school to offer technical and vocational courses.
Section 2 states that the technical and vocational courses are open to elementary school graduates.

Section 3 transfers and absorbs all assets (fixed and movable), personnel, and records of the Ormoc City High School and its facilities to the Ormoc City School of Arts and Trade.
Section 3 preserves the employment of personnel by providing that personnel employed under existing laws prior to absorption by the Ormoc City School of Arts and Trade are not impaired.
Section 3 provides that all incumbents remain in the same status until otherwise provided for by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.

Section 4 requires the Department of Education, Culture and Sports to take the necessary steps for the conversion and operation of the school.
Section 4 requires the Department to ensure effective implementation of the Act.
Section 3 makes the Department of Education, Culture and Sports the authority to provide changes in incumbents’ status.

Section 5 charges the amount necessary for the implementation of the Act against the current year’s appropriations of the Ormoc City High School.
Section 5 directs that thereafter, all sums necessary for operation and maintenance of the Ormoc City School of Arts and Trade are included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 6 repeals, amends, or modifies all laws, decrees, executive orders, and other issuances (or parts thereof) inconsistent with the Act.
Section 7 provides that the Act takes effect upon its approval.
