School conversion and new school name
- Section 1 converts the Maslog Provincial High School in the Municipality of Maslog, Province of Eastern Samar into a national high school.
- Section 1 provides that the converted school shall be known as the Maslog National High School.
Educational programs and curriculum scope
- Section 2 requires the Maslog National High School to offer general secondary education proper.
- Section 2 also requires the school to offer techno-vocational courses.
- Section 2 further requires the school to offer relevant courses to cultivate technical and vocational skills of the youth.
Transfer of personnel, assets, liabilities, and records
- Section 3 requires that all personnel of the Maslog Provincial High School be transferred to and absorbed by the Maslog National High School.
- Section 3 requires that all assets of the Maslog Provincial High School be transferred to and absorbed by the Maslog National High School.

Implementation rules and regulations
- Section 4 directs the Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports to issue the necessary rules and regulations for the effective conversion and operation of the school.
Funding and appropriation
- Section 5 requires that the amount necessary to carry out the provisions of Republic Act No. 8837 be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law.
- Section 5 further requires that such funding be included in the General Appropriations Act thereafter as needed to carry out the law’s provisions.
