Conversion of Maslog High School to National School

Section 1 converts the Maslog Provincial High School in the Municipality of Maslog, Province of Eastern Samar into a national high school.
Section 1 provides that the converted school shall be known as the Maslog National High School.

Section 2 requires the Maslog National High School to offer general secondary education proper.
Section 2 also requires the school to offer techno-vocational courses.
Section 2 further requires the school to offer relevant courses to cultivate technical and vocational skills of the youth.

Section 3 requires that all personnel of the Maslog Provincial High School be transferred to and absorbed by the Maslog National High School.
Section 3 requires that all assets of the Maslog Provincial High School be transferred to and absorbed by the Maslog National High School.
Section 3 requires that all liabilities of the Maslog Provincial High School be transferred to and absorbed by the Maslog National High School.
Section 3 requires that all records of the Maslog Provincial High School be transferred to and absorbed by the Maslog National High School.

Section 4 directs the Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports to issue the necessary rules and regulations for the effective conversion and operation of the school.

Section 5 requires that the amount necessary to carry out the provisions of Republic Act No. 8837 be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law.
Section 5 further requires that such funding be included in the General Appropriations Act thereafter as needed to carry out the law’s provisions.
