Academic Programs and Curriculum
- The new college shall offer four-year degree courses: Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education.
- It shall also offer two-year trade technical courses and two-year diploma programs in technician vocational fields.
- Additional practical courses relevant to the local development needs will also be provided.
Transfer of Personnel and Assets
- All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the former Lakewood National High School are transferred and absorbed by the Canuto M.S. Enerio College of Arts and Trades.
Authority and Implementation
- The Chairman of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is mandated to oversee the conversion and operations of the school.
- The Chairman shall take necessary steps for effective implementation of the law.
Fiscal Provisions and Appropriations
- Initial funding for the implementation will be charged against the current appropriations of Lakewood National High School.
- Future funding for operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Repeal of Inconsistent Laws
- Any laws, presidential decrees, executive orders, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The Act took effect upon its approval, or on July 10, 1998, when it lapsed into law without the President's signature as provided by the Philippine Constitution.
