Conditions and Enforcement of Parole
- Convicts must comply with the conditions prescribed by the Governor-General during parole.
- Failure to observe parole conditions, as determined by the Governor-General, permits the arrest and return of the convict to custody.
- Upon return to custody, the convict is required to serve the remainder of their sentence as if parole had never been granted.
- The period during which the convict was at large on parole is not counted towards time served.
Legislative Expedited Enactment
- Recognizing the public interest in timely implementation, the enactment process of this law was expedited pursuant to an existing procedural act concerning legislative order.
Effectivity of the Act
- The law takes effect immediately upon its passage on November 10, 1906.
