Selection Procedure and Bond Requirements

    • Prompt compensation for any losses of baggage or property due to negligence.
  • The bond amount and sufficiency are determined and approved by the Collector of Customs.
  • The Act preserves passengers' right to recover for personal injury through ordinary courts.

  • The Act does not restrict passengers or others from gratuitously landing passengers and baggage.
