Reapportionment of Cavite into 8 districts
- Section 1 establishes that the Province of Cavite shall have eight (8) legislative districts.
- Section 1 reapportions Cavite by listing the municipalities and cities assigned to each legislative district.
- The district composition is as follows:
- FIRST LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT: Cavite City, Kawit, Noveleta, Rosario.
- SECOND LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT: Bacoor City.
- THIRD LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT: Imus City.
- FOURTH LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT: Dasmariñas City.
- FIFTH LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT: Carmona, General Mariano Alvarez (GMA).
- SIXTH LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT: General Trias City.
- SEVENTH LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT: Trece Martires City, Indang, Tanza, Amadeo.
- EIGHT LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT: Tagaytay City, Alfonso, General Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, Naic, Ternate.
Continuity of incumbent representatives
- Section 2 provides that the incumbent Representatives of the Sixth and Seventh Legislative Districts of Cavite continue to represent their respective legislative districts.
- The continuation lasts until the new Representative shall have been elected and qualified.
Commission on Elections implementation rules
- Section 3 directs the Commission on Elections to issue necessary rules and regulations.
- The Commission on Elections must issue these rules and regulations within thirty (30) days upon approval of this Act.
Repeal of inconsistent laws and effect
- Section 4 repeals Republic Act No. 9727.
- Section 4 also repeals, amends, or modifies all other laws, rules and regulations that are inconsistent with Republic Act No. 11069.
- The reapportionment and commencement for the next elections follow Section 1 and take effect in accordance with Section 5.
