Coverage and who is affected
- Every applicant for examination as a pharmacist must pay an examination fee to the secretary-treasurer.
- Persons who pass the pharmacist’s examination must pay the fee required for the issuance of the certificate of registration.
- Persons issued a temporary certificate as pharmacists must pay the registration fee for the grant of a permanent certificate upon passing the next examination.
- The Chairman of the Board and the two members of the Board are governed by the emoluments limits and rules on compensation and conflicts.
Pharmacist examination and registration fees
- Section 744 (as amended by Section 1) requires every applicant for examination as a pharmacist to pay to the secretary-treasurer a fee of PHP 20.
- Section 744 (as amended by Section 1) requires that when an applicant successfully passes the pharmacist’s examination, the applicant must pay PHP 20 for the issuance of the certificate of registration.
- Section 744 (as amended by Section 1) requires that when a person is registered without examination, the person must pay PHP 20 for the issuance of the certificate of registration.
- Section 744 (as amended by Section 1) provides that when a person with a temporary certificate passes a satisfactory examination at the next examination after issuance, a permanent certificate is granted upon payment of a registration fee of PHP 20.
Board emoluments and compensation limits
- Section 5 (as amended by Section 2) sets the Chairman of the Board’s annual salary at not to exceed PHP 4,000.
- Section 5 (as amended by Section 2) grants each of the two Board members a per diem of PHP 5 for each Board meeting actually attended.
- Section 5 (as amended by Section 2) limits the two members’ per diem to a combined maximum of not more than PHP 20 per month.
- Section 5 (as amended by Section 2) provides that each of the two members receives additional compensation at the rate of PHP 5 for each candidate examined or registered as pharmacist.
- Section 5 (as amended by Section 2) prohibits the Chairman from being the owner, manager, or pharmacist of any pharmacy, dispensary, drug store, or similar establishment, or from being directly or indirectly interested in such establishments.
