- The grantee must allocate sufficient broadcast time for public service, enabling government communication on important public issues.
- The stations are to assist in public information dissemination and educational functions.
- Ethical standards must be observed, including:
- Honest enterprise in operations.
- Prohibition of broadcasting or televising obscene or indecent content.
- Avoidance of deliberately false information or willful misrepresentation.
- No content detrimental to public health.
- Prevention of broadcasts that incite or support subversive or treasonable acts.
Title and Implementation
- The title of the amended Republic Act reflects the grant of the permit to Eduardo Lopez and Company to operate commercial radio and television stations.
- The law becomes effective immediately upon approval, enforcing all provisions herein.
